Leah
Graves
Hi, I am Leah Graves, a racerchick from
Janesville, WI. Married for 10 years to my
wonderful husband, Pete, and we have 3
beautiful children. Together we own &
operate a custom performance engine machine
shop in Southern WI.
I drag race my 1970 Chevelle at the nearby
legendary Great Lakes Dragway. We also have a 1971 Chevelle
Malibu. My love of drag racing and muscle cars comes from a
long family history of car enthusiasts. My father has a
passion for Datsun 260Z's, Porsche 911's, and Nissan
300ZX's.
In high school, my Mother had a 1969 'Cuda
and my Grandmother had several Chevelles, Firebirds, and a
Corvette. As well as other family members with a range of
muscle cars from Ford, Dodge, & Oldsmobile.
Racing
for me is more of a hobby, I enjoy having a car that is
street driven daily during the Spring & Summer months yet
quick enough at the track to turn a few heads. Although I
did not build my engine, my husband did, I do enjoy learning
about every aspect of my car - from engine, trans, and
chassis and am involved in maintaining and working on my
car.
I also am in the shop daily increasing my
knowledge of engine building & how each modification affects
ultimate horsepower & torque on each individual application.
My ultimate goal is to be able to build my own engine for my
car. For more information & to view pictures & videos of me
racing, go to
